MANAGEMENT & LEADERSHIP
Minerva is run by our incredible residence head. The House Committee (known as the HK) are elected to serve as leaders of the res and are in charge of various portfolios and organise activities and events. The mentors support the newcomers as they adjust to university life and promote wellness in the residence through the BeWell programme.
RESIDENCE HEAD
Mrs Mariëtha Lemmer (better known as Tannie M) has been residence head at Minerva for 9 years. Before this, she fulfilled the same position at Serruria residence. Before she joined the US, she was a high school teacher in the Eastern Cape for 23 years. She has two children, a son and a daughter, who both studied at the University of Stellenbosch.
Not only does she manage our residence, but she also acts as cluster coordinator for the VicMeyer Cluster!
